ED-209 Drawing (1988)

Here is a black and white charcoal drawing I did around 1988 of the ED-209 from "Robocop". I tried different techniques like drawing on brown paper, something I learned in art class.

Predator Drawing (1988)

This is a ink and pencil drawing of the Predator I did in High School around 1988. I did some practice combining both pen and pencil, the ink gave me that really dark black I needed. I liked the look and used this same technique on many other artworks. This drawing is 11"x13".

Lonnie Chin Painting (1987)

I did this painting back in 1987, I was 16 years old and still learning how to paint. I used a picture from a Playboy issue that featured Playmate Lonnie Chin. I originally drew it then I decided to try and paint it too. The size of the painting is 11"x14".

Cycle of the Werewolf Painting (1993)

This is a painting I did at the Art Institute back in 1993 for an assignment. We had to illustrate a book cover and I chose Stephen King's Cycle of the Werewolf and created a wrap around cover. We then had to create a overlay with the text on a piece of acetate. I used my dog as a model for the werewolf and did a lot of sketches combining human and dog anatomy. The scene I chose takes place at the end of the story. It is winter on New Year's Eve when the wolf strikes. The painting size is 15"x20"

Playmate Pencil Drawings (1988) (1990)

This is a drawing I did of Playboy Playmate Donna Edmondson back in 1990. I used to like her a lot so I decided to make my own poster of her. It is the largest drawing I've ever done, it's 24"x43" in size and was drawn in color pencil on tan paper. I also used some white paint for the highlights.

Here is a drawing I did back in 1988 of Playmate Kimberly MacArthur. The size is 18"x24" and was drawn with color pencil on grey paper and some white paint to strengthen the highlights.

Terminator Paintings (1992)

Here are some paintings I did back when I was at the Art Institute in 1992, I was 21 years old. The assignment was to create some illustrations for a magazine article. I choose to do some surreal paintings for a Terminator article. When I saw "The Matrix" years later I was shocked to see a scene in the movie where they have babies growing in pods with tubes connected to them. It looked alot like my painting. At the time I was really into H.R. Giger artwork and my paintings show some of that. These paintings are also large, about 20"x20" give or take.
